“As a candidate and a Town Council member I have consistently identified major issues the Council needs to address and advocated for them despite significant initial opposition in some cases. During my early days on the Council I was referred to as the “lone dissenter”. The record shows though that many of my positions have been accepted and acted on by the Council.
Chapel Hill is facing daunting challenges. The only way we will succeed is through balance. Sometimes that will be very difficult. There are strong feelings on many issues and difficult decisions will have to be made. I pledge to you that I will continue work hard to bring a careful analytical approach to policies and decisions and as a Voice of Reason I will ALWAYS explain my reasoning.
