I am the only candidate for town council who directly answered the question posed at the League of Women Voter’s forum on October 1, 2007, regarding the proposed waste transfer facility in the Rogers Road neighborhood.

I said simply that I would vote against it.

I am keenly aware that finding an alternative site is an enormous challenge, but that is not a good enough excuse to impose 35 more years of unimaginable burden that the residents of the Rogers Road neighborhood have already had to endure. We have a moral responsibility to find an alternative!
